For my first real look into my original #comic book #WIP, I unveil for you my main character Bassy and her two bodyguards. They will play a significant role in her story in the near future. Their harder features are important details to note as they are fighters, and trained killers in my world. This work was fully illustrated and colored by me. It’s not yet finished, and I still got much to learn. This is just a raw look into the project so far. We are going for a dark, night club inspired, Aeon Flux feel for the graphic novel as that was always a cartoon that influenced me growing up. I’ll never forget Liquid Television on MTV. And of course Spawn The Animated Series on HBO which I still think they should bring back. The grittiness. The violence. The provocative story telling. And it was all happening while I was just coming into my teens and trying to figure out what type of artist I want to become. Now with the success of such great, story driven, adult cartoons as Arcane, and Love Death and Robots, I think it’s time to revisit that era in 2D bloody mayhem. Enjoy! #horror #pinup #art
